March/April- Easter time
The Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival

The Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival has been organizing since 1997, a year commemorating the 170th death anniversary of the creator of Fidelio and the 9th Symphony. Since 2004 it has taken place in Warsaw. The Festival has become a permanent part of the culturl landscape of this part of Europe, making the Holy Week a fuller experience.

May-Septmeber
Chopin's Concerts

From the middle of May to the end of Septmeber, fans od Frederic Chopin's music meet every Sunday afternoon at noon and 4 p.m. in front of his monument in Łazienki Park to listen to piano concerts. The tradition of these concerts has lasted for almost half a centruy, which proves its deep entrenchment in the capital's history and cultural habits.

Mozart Festival

The music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has long occupied a prominent place in the ompany's repertoire. A series of successful productions encouraged the decision to mark the 200th anniversary of the composer's death with the 1st Mozart Festival in 1991 year. Its programme included all of Mozart's stage works(26 productions).The Warsaw Chamber opera is the only company in the world to have Mozart's entire operatic output in its permanent repertoire.

Crossdrumming Festival

Every year masters of instrumental theatre, tarabaning, street drumming, hand drumming and battucada play in Warsaw during the summer. It is accompanied by street parades performed by the Brazilian group Samba Axe Bahia Show.

Warsaw Summer Jazz Days

Since 1992 Warsaw Summer Jazz Days festival has become a big feast of jazz music. Distinguished European jazz players perform in Paolnd. Open air performances take place at Zamkowy Square, Salan kongresowa and Palace of Culture and Science.

Festival of Jewish Culture

For the fifth year running rugged ulica Próżna and the area around Grzybowska will host the Festival of Jewish Culture, transforming the streets with a sea of stalls and klezmer sounds. There will also be a theatre performances and workshops to attend, as well as the chance to dice with best and worst of traditional Jewsih cooking.

Jazz Jamboree

Since 1958 the Jazz Jamboree quickly became one of the largest and most important festivals in all of Europe. The forty-odd editions held thus far have featured some of the wrold's greatest jazz musicians. The most famous among them have been Miles Davis, The Manhattan Transfer, Bobby McFerrin, Ray Charles, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and many others.
